The Mockridge Cup has been played since 2002 when it commenced in memory of the 1st secretary of the Avalon League,
Terry Mockridge
The original trophy was presented for many years but recently it could not be found and so was not returned. A replacement was purchased, hence the new trophy is Mockridge Cup 2
Upon the initial engraving, the cup name was spelt incorrectly but a new nameplate was fitted to correct the error.

The format of the competition is ONE PAIR from each team within the 8 divisions of the Men’s League and 3 Seniors divisions to compete in a Stableford Pairs Better Ball Competition.
The pair that have the highest Stableford score will be awarded the trophy.
